How to create a RFQ

After registering on the platform, a window will appear as shown below.

  1. Click inside the Select Project box.


  1. Click on Create new project. Provide name to the project. Ex: Dummy 1. A window will appear as shown below.
  1. Click on + Get Instant Quote. Click inside the Select Project box. Select the project (Dummy 1).
  2. Upload the part files to the project. To execute this action, either click on Browse Files or use Drag and Drop. After uploading, a window will appear which confirms the upload.

If you want to upload more files, just use the Browse Files button or use Drag and Drop.  

  1. After uploading files, click on Upload and Proceed button.
  1. A window will appear as shown below. Add details of the part by clicking on the Configuration button as shown below. 

After clicking on the configuration button, a window will appear as shown below.

The window is made up of two sections. The left section includes a 3D viewer while the right section contains configuration parameters. Using a 3D viewer, the user can inspect the CAD file instantly. It will eliminate the need for opening a CAD software for inspecting CAD files. 

Configuration parameters consist of Process, Material, Surface Finish, Material Grade, Color, Tolerance, Quantity, Technical Drawings and Special Instructions. 

  1. Select Process

Process includes Vacuum Casting, Sheet Metal, Injection Molding, 3D Printing and CNC machining. If the user finds it difficult to select the process, then they can select the Help Me Choose option. Our team will help you in process selection.

  1. Select Material

The drop-down box contains the list of materials that we commonly work with. If the user doesn’t find the required material in the list, then the user can select the option of As per Technical Drawing

  1. Surface Finish

Type the required surface finish in the textbox.

  1. Material Grade

Type the required material grade in the textbox.

  1. Color

Type the required color in the textbox.

  1. Tolerance

The default standard used by us is DIN ISO 2768 - mk. If the user wants to specify different standards then the user can select As per Technical Drawing. 

  1. Quantity

Specify the quantity of parts to be manufactured.

  1. Technical Drawings

Upload the Technical Drawings.

  1. Add special instructions

Wherever, the user has selected the option of Help Me Choose, the user can specify what they are expecting from us according to the project requirements. An example is shown below when the ‘Help Me choose’ option was selected for ‘Surface Finish’.

Additionally, the user can add those points which they missed to mention in technical drawings. 

After the part configuration is done, click on the Apply and Save button. If the configuration details are the same for all parts, then the user can use the Bulk Configuration option to configure all parts at once. Visit the FAQ section for more details. 

  1. After clicking on Apply and Save, the following window will appear.

Before asking for a quotation, the user can view the summary by clicking on the View Summary button present at the bottom. After clicking on the button, the following window will appear.

  1. After viewing the summary and after doing all the necessary corrections, the user can click on the Ask for Quote button present at the bottom left of the window. After clicking, the following window will appear. 

Enter Shipping Address and Billing Address. After entering the address, click on Request for Quote. After successfully submitting the quotation, the below window will appear.

Click on View Quotation. The following window will appear which will show the status of the RFQ. Here, the status is Files under review

If the user clicks on the quotation, the below window appears. 

  1. RFQ creation and submission of quotation is done.

  1. How to configure all parts at once?
  • After uploading the parts, a Select All option will be available on the top left corner as shown below. Click on the checkbox.
  • After clicking on the checkbox, a window will appear as shown below. Select Bulk Configure option.
  • Add configuration details and click on Apply and Save.
